Job Description
Lead end-to-end service delivery: coordinate security patches, system upgrades, and solution implementation while providing hands-on technical mentorship. You’ll be the key link between suppliers, stakeholders, and senior leadership, driving partnerships that elevate our service standards and technical strategy.

You will be based at either our City or Coach Lane campus as part of the IT Application Support team within Digital Technology and Transformation Services. Our team operates in a collaborative, on-campus environment where colleagues work regular patterns with flexibility around timing and location in discussion with managers.
The role involves working closely with the Application Support Manager, Head of Infrastructure and various stakeholders across the university. You’ll also engage with external suppliers and may attend industry conferences and events to support relationship building and professional development.

- Proven people management experience with the ability to supervise, mentor, and provide delegated line management support
- Strong supplier relationship management skills with experience in escalation processes, regular reviews, and contract management
- Comprehensive knowledge of ITIL-based work practices and service management processes
- Experience coordinating application deployments, upgrades, and patching using recognised methodologies
- Strategic thinking abilities to contribute to technology roadmaps and service evolution
- Excellent relationship-building skills across internal teams and external stakeholders
