About the job you’re considering

We’re looking for platform engineers who are excited to grow their careers while delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients. You’ll join a collaborative, supportive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and where your contributions help shape the future of cloud services in the UK.

We work in focused, agile teams called Pods—groups of technical professionals who come together to build and maintain cloud platforms. Our strength lies in our people and the inclusive culture we foster. If you enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and are passionate about continuous learning, we’d love to hear from you.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including:
identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)

Your role

As a key member of a Cloud Pod, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to both project-based and foundational engineering work. You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of Cloud DevOps Engineers and be encouraged to:

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud platforms with a focus on reusability, standardisation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Work in agile, outcome-focused teams that align closely with client goals.
  • Grow your expertise through training, certifications, and hands-on experience.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Capgemini’s cloud offerings through shared learning and innovation.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.

Your skills and experience

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes (EKS), GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines for enterprise cloud deployments using code-based approaches.
  • Skilled in day-to-day operations including monitoring, patching, upgrading, Landing Zone Accelerator (LZA), and security management.
  • Strong foundation in infrastructure and networking principles, complemented by experience working in agile teams and familiarity with ITIL frameworks for end-to-end service delivery.
  • Knowledge of AWS Landing Zone Accelerator components such as Service Control Policies (SCP), YAML, CloudFormation, and Identity Manager.
  • Exposure to AWS Outposts and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Ability to lead or contribute to technical discussions across architecture and engineering teams, driving best practices and innovative solutions.
